Tipid Travel Adventure: Pearl Farm Resort, Davao

This is the second "I-really-want-to-go-but-when-is-that-time" resort that I wanted to visit when I first transferred here in Mindanao. First, ofcourse, is THE CAMIGUIN Island. But ambot why dili mi madayon dayon in Camiguin, mas una pa ang Boracay and Palawan but never in Camiguin. Really. That sax. Ok, moving on... :)

Welcome to Pearl Farm Resort, located in Samal Island, Davao. It's a 45 min boat ride from Davao Wharf and ooohla, you're in paradise already. We got the numbers from their website and emailed for a Day-Tour Package and they answered right away. They have a book and buy policy so you need to pay first to confirm your tour. Ms. Edna helped us. It was such a hassle-free transaction. Book, Pay and Get there.

Tipid Travel Adventure: Alcoy, Cebu

I love random trips! No more madayon-ta-or-dili moments. Right? hehehe.. Last March 19, mother, Grace and I flew to Cebu. It was originally Grace's wedding on the 21st but was postponed coz our aunt (from our father's side) died of CKD, a complication of her Diabetes. So no more wedding bells muna for Grasya.. (kawawa naman..lol.).

It was an ordinary day, we were lying in bed. I told Grace I'm bored and wanted to swim. Since we were already in Argao, I suggest why not go to Alcoy. So ok, she agreed (uto uto..)and boom! We prepared, bought foods and drinks and took a bus to Alcoy.. ang dali dba? (kaladkarin lang ang dating. hahaha). Were not new to Tingko Beach, Alcoy because we already went here last 2009 and susmaryusip, duol ra tawn sya sa Argao. We arrived almost lunch time and decided to get a table and eat muna. There's a resort in Tingko that has a lot of amenities. But we just want to swim dude so we got the cheaper table rentals in the area.(sa kilid kilid.. hahaha joke!). There are tables available in the area actually, you just have to ask lang tapos pila ka oras ninyo gamiton. I think ours was 200php.

Alcoy is a fifth municipality in the province of Cebu. Daan-Lungsod is the southern-most barangay. And in this small barangay, there's an hidden white beach called Tingko Beach.
It's simple. It's beautiful. I promise. :)

ops sorry, singit selfie lang. hehe
there was a team building at that time so there was no time for clean photos. :) (lusot!)

I saw this group of kiddos goofing around as if no one was watching. so nice to be a kid again. no problem.

all photos were taken from iphone only.

Hearts Day

Arvin and I were LQ'ed few days before valentines. I worked my ass the whole day. I got home late in the afternoon and when I entered the room, I saw a bouquet of flowers on my bed. I asked "para kang kinsa na An?", she answered "gikan ni Kuya Arvin." And a car just arrived and parked in front of the house. It was my mortal enemy.

Huway on earth I'm saying this???!!?? (oa ra sa.hehe) but it's the little things like this that would make a woman smile talaga. It's annoying sometimes that he's taking my tantrums like "wala ra" but deep inside, oh com'on dude. hahaha..

Ok. end. so much talking Joy. goodbye. xo

Tipid Travel Adventure: Sumilon Island

Grace and I planned this trip ahead of time. We really wanted to visit this island because we have seen so many photos and videos and was an "AHA!" moment. lol.

Sumilon Island is an hour from Argao and a 4-5 hr drive from the city proper, Cebu. (I hope I got it right.hehe).. It is located in Oslob, province of Cebu. We took a bus from Argao early in the morning (at 6am to be exact) and headed to Oslob. The Sumilon Wharf is located few klms after the Butanding area. So if you plan to go to Sumilon, make the most of your time by also visiting the WhaleSharks in Oslob. Sumilon is expensive! haha so we only got the Day-Tour Package which costs 1,700php. You can pay directly to the Reception Area located at their wharf. I think I should stop talking and let the photos describe the trip. Agree? I am. heheh..

The Sumilon Wharf. It's like a resort already.
While waiting for our boat.

See that island above? Well, that's where we're going.  :)

Hammocks, benches, really nice chairs are among the things you'll see around the island. Relaxation is the word.
First thing we did after breakfast was Kayaking.
After a little swimming, we went trekking. Wait till you see the view from the top.

Looks so easy huh, but hingal mode on. hehe
